The Pain Never Goes Away

I was flicking through the cable channels earlier today and noticed that This Is It has made it to the Encore channel. I set a reminder and went about watching TV. The reminder came and went and I was busy so I didn't turn.

Finally I turned the channel and it happen to be on the part where Michael and that lovely young woman, who's name escapes me, were singing "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" This was one of my favorite parts of the movie. Mike was so pure, so clear it was just amazing.

I sat there watching and listening and felt my heart just flip flopping, that feeling you get when you are..in love. Then my throat just closed up and without warning I just broke down.

That's how it is when you lose someone you love. I hadn't spent any time with Mike recently, just been busy and then there he is giving me what I needed, making me feel Love (I've been on a Love kick lately). Healing what was going on inside me. I was so open at that moment and missing him in some weird kinda way (I say weird cause I did not know him personally)

It still behooves me that he really is not somewhere enjoying his children, or making music or based on what he was going to do - wrapping up his tour. He is just not here anymore.

Damn!

Let's get into this video.

Rest In Peace Elizabeth Taylor

1932-2011
You and Our Precious Michael are together once again

Elizabeth & Michael Moments

The relationship between icons Dame Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Jackson was undeniably a loving one. Here's a look back at the two on a number of red carpets, smiling and embracing one another as only close friends can do.

Taylor passed away early Wednesday morning, while it will be two years in June that Jackson died. Upon hearing about Jackson's passing in 2009, the actress tweeted that she was "too devastated" to speak about the King of Pop's death.

She later gave a statement about her dear friend that read in part: "My heart ... my mind ... are broken. I loved Michael with all my soul and I can't imagine life without him. We had so much in common and we had such loving fun together. ... I still can't believe it. I don't want to believe it. It can't be so. He will live in my heart forever but it's not enough. My life feels so empty. I don't think anyone knew how much we loved each other. The purest most giving love I've ever known. Oh God! I'm going to miss him. I can't yet imagine life without him. But I guess with God's help ... I'll learn. I keep looking at the photo he gave me of himself, which says, 'To my true love Elizabeth, I love you forever.' And, I will love HIM forever."

Taylor passed away at 79. Jackson was 49.

Passion - A Photo Shoot

Yesterday, I had a unique opportunity to show via pictures my passion for Michael. A photography student needed to do a photo shoot and asked me to be one of her subjects. I wasn't quite sure what the whole look was going to be so I set up a table and got decked out in an MJ look:

Even though the pictures didn't end up featuring all of that stuff (too staged, lol) there were some poignant ones taken and the one she chose should blow you away when I finally get my hands on it completed.

The whole experience was so powerful for me because though I know folks give me the time of day - I always feel like it's because they love me or they just can't figure out how to tell me to shut up when it comes to Michael Jackson. So any little sliver of 'interest' moves me like you wouldn't believe and taking out some of my things sent me there and I had a moment. It just washed over me as the realization hit, yet again, that he is no longer here with us in the flesh.

I will certainly post the pictures when they become available.
